GALILEO Timeline
GALILEO celebrated its tenth birthday in 2005! The Digital Library of Georgia thoroughly redesigned its website in 2005. A single quick search box, allowing a user to search all GALILEO databases with just one search, debuted in 2006. GALILEO usage climbed to almost 60 million by 2006, and exceeded 80 million by 2008. The Civil Rights Digital Library launched in 2008. Four new interface styles for GALILEO went into production in 2008. A historical digitization initiative at the Digital Library of Georgia (partially supported by Georgia HomePLACE) debuted in 2008.
