Description

Andy Spinks, Supervisor in the Media Services Department of the Cobb County School System, says “As a taxpayer, an educator, and a graduate student, I am so thankful that Georgia has GALILEO. After ten years of teaching high school students to do research and doing research myself as a graduate student, I know that there are NO free internet resources that come close to meeting the needs of students. We simply cannot educate students without resources of this quality; if GALILEO did not exist, Georgia’s universities, schools, and libraries would have to purchase all of these resources individually. Obviously, this would greatly increase the subscription costs, not to mention the labor costs for thousands of state employees to make the same selection and purchasing decisions individually. NOT having GALILEO would be an enormous waste of tax dollars!”
