Description

Carol Bray, Library Director at East Georgia College, says, “GALILEO has made it possible for East Georgia College and other small two-year and 4-year colleges to afford a great number of resources that we would never have been able to afford as a stand-alone institution. The ‘inventors’ of GALILEO leveraged the buying power of the 35 libraries in the University System of Georgia and were able to provide numerous resources for all students, faculty, and staff in the USG. GALILEO has leveled the playing field among the USG institutions which has facilitated the transfer of students within the System. The inventors also collaborated with other educational institutions in Georgia to make valuable resources available to other students and citizens of the state.”
