Description

Rose Metts, Assistance Professor of English – Liberal Arts at Savannah State University, tells us, “I teach Freshman Composition, both parts. Because each course requires a research paper and technology has improved to the point of accessing material online, I always inform my students about the databases on Galileo. My favorite is Proquest because of the “user-friendly” tabs that assist students in identifying the type of periodical, as well as the other amenities: emailing the source to oneself, locating articles on other search lines and much more. I have also suggested Lexis Nexis, JSTOR and EBSCO. These databases provide more credible sources than GOOGLE alone.”
