Description

Carol Stanley, Branch Librarian and Cataloger at the Elbert County Campus of Athens Technical College, says, “I’m the same age as GALILEO–in Georgia years that is. It was born the first year I came to Georgia and I KNEW it was the product of a vision of forward thinking and inclusive library leaders in my new state. Georgia was one of the first states with such a comprehensive initiative to share resources across all types of learning institutions–colleges, public libraries, and K-12 schools. When I teach Athens Technical College students how to conduct their research using GALILEO, I tell them that GALILEO is a “Georgia Thing” and to be very proud to have access to all its treasures.”
